John Momanyi is a young Kenyan violinist who began playing at age nine under the guidance of teacher Rovel Salibio. He placed first in both the Intermediate (2025) and Senior (2026) categories of the Young Musicians Competition, and earned top honors at the Kenya Music Festivals, performing at the State Concert.

In addition to playing as an orchestral member with the Nairobi Orchestra, John makes his solo debut with them in November 2026, performing the first movement of Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto. He aspires to study at a top conservatory and inspire young musicians, while enjoying cycling and video games in his free time.
